The ‘Free Your Turntable’ Series -- 'Feature Artist' iNSiDEaMiND
In its ongoing effort to showcase the turntable as a flexible and diverse musical instrument, Off Centre DJ School is taking the classroom mentality to the stage. The “Free Your Turntable” series of educational and performance events will be made up of an ‘Open Tables’ component as well as a ‘Feature Artist’ per event. ‘Open tables’ as the title suggests is ‘open’ to anyone that wishes to perform a set of any style (max. 10 minutes in length). The ‘Feature Artist’ is selected to perform a unique showcase and workshop. This will be an experienced artist who has a detailed understanding of their craft.
Built on an open and communicative model, this series enables students and the surrounding DJ community a chance to showcase, converse about specific approaches to turntable music, and learn about the equipment used to make turntable music.
For those interested in performing as part of the ‘Open Tables’ segment, come early to get your name in the hat. Those interested in being considered as a ‘Feature Artist’ must apply by sending an artist package to:
